Swing Low, Sweet Chariot – Can England repeat their heroics of 2003?

As if the excitement from England’s World Cup heroics in the cricket this summer wasn’t enough, England’s rugby union side are doing the country proud with their incredible performances in Japan.

Following a fantastic performance against the All Blacks on Saturday, Eddie Jones’ side have reached the World Cup final for the first time since 2007 when they lost to their opponents this Saturday, South Africa, who had Eddie Jones amongst their coaching staff at the time.

England will be looking for retribution against the Springbok and will be hoping for a repeat of their success in 2003, a tournament where they recorded their only ever world cup win over South Africa.

They will also have in their favour, the fact that no team has ever lost at a World Cup and then gone on to win the World Cup. This year South Africa lost to New Zealand in their opening pool game.

The game takes place at the International Stadium in Yokohama on Saturday at 9 am (UK time). It will be shown live on ITV and the ITV website as well as broadcast on BBC 5 Live radio station.

However, if you are looking for a bit of atmosphere as you celebrate England’s triumph (Fingers Crossed) there are plenty of places in and around Surrey where you can enjoy the action, so why not check out one of these local venues:
