We’re all hoping for another summer filled with sunshine and Surrey has an array of outdoor events for you and the family to enjoy.
From open-air food festivals to family-friendly trails, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in the warmer months.
Surrey County Craft & Food Show
The Surrey County Craft & Food Show is returning from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 June 2026 and it is set within the stunning grounds of Loseley Park.
This event is bringing together the very best of local producers and artisans from across Surrey and the South East.
With more than 130 stallholders, visitors can explore everything from handmade jewellery and artwork to delicious locally produced food and drink.
It’s the perfect chance to meet the people behind the products and find some unique pieces you won’t find on the high street.
There is also plenty of entertainment for all ages, including live music, traditional fairground rides and a falconry display. This is an ideal family day out in one of Surrey’s most picturesque settings.
Wine tasting at Greyfriars Vineyard
If you’re looking for something a little more relaxed or just for the adults, Greyfriars Vineyard offers a tasting session of the best English sparkling and still wines.
This award-winning vineyard is located on the sunny hills of the Hog’s Back, near Guildford. Visitors can enjoy guided vineyard tours through the 40-acre estate and learn about how the grapes are grown.
It’s a brilliant way to spend a summer afternoon and you don’t have to travel far for world-class wine.
Lazz jazz Sundays at Polesden Lacey
Those who fancy a more relaxed day out this summer, then Polesden Lacey has the perfect event for you.
You can grab some snacks, spread your picnic rug out on the South Lawn and enjoy the sound of live jazz in the National Trust gardens.
These events have become a much-loved tradition and run on selected Sundays and bank holidays throughout the summer months. From 24 May to 6 September, visitors can enjoy performances from talented musicians.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Trail
Families looking for a fun and interactive day out will love The Very Hungry Caterpillar Trail at Polesden Lacey. You can enjoy this educational and playful experience from 1 May to 5 July 2026.
The outdoor trail is inspired by Eric Carle’s beloved children’s book and follows the journey of the tiny caterpillar turning into a butterfly.
With colourful activity stations and giant illustrations along the way, children can learn while exploring the stunning gardens.
