Excitement mounts for final four teams in FA Cup semi-final

The semi-finals of the 2023 FA Cup are just around the corner and this year’s semi-finals are set to be thrilling encounters.

The two fixtures will involve Manchester City, Sheffield United, Brighton and Manchester United.

Manchester United have lifted the trophy 12 times, having last won in 2018. Despite this, their odds of winning are currently trailing behind their local noisy neighbours.

Bookies favourites, Manchester City have won six times, last securing the trophy in 2015.

On paper, Sheffield United are the clear underdogs. Latest odds have the team as 33/1 outsiders and although they have won the FA Cup four times in the past, their last win was back in 1924. However, the magic of the FA Cup means there can always be cup-tie upsets and in 90 minutes anything could happen.

Brighton & Hove Albion have never won the FA Cup but the bookies are not writing them off and current odds are 6/1 on the Seagulls making history.

The first semi-final between Manchester City and Sheffield United takes place on Saturday 22nd April at Wembley Stadium. The following day the venue plays host to Brighton v Manchester United.

The final two teams will face each other for the final on Saturday 3rd June.

With so much history, tradition and success behind each of these clubs, the semi-finals are sure to be intense and exciting encounters, with capacity crowds expected under the famous Wembley Arch.
